2008 European Year of Intercultural Dialogue

'Intercultural dialogue is of vital importance today. Communicating with each other  opens our eyes to the richness and plurality of our societies while strengthening our own identities. Intercultural dialogue can express itself in many shapes and forms in a wide range of areas including the arts, sciences and migration. We must welcome the opportunity to learn about different cultures, and embrace the benefits of diversity to cultivate harmony between all people.'    Paulo Coelho
