This workshop will help you better understand the Chinese mentality and be more efficient in working with the Chinese. Participants will learn to analyse the differences between the Chinese culture and their home culture, why these differences exist and how to cope with them. From specific cases of doing business with the Chinese you will better understand how business runs among the Chinese. You will thus improve your skills in communicating and negotiating with the Chinese.
Goals
- What values are important for the Chinese people?
- How does the Chinese culture (history, philosophy religion etc.) influence the mentality of its people?
- How do Chinese look at Western expatriates? Which of my behaviours would be taken as “strange” by the Chinese?
- How do the Chinese communicate with each other? How can I make sure that the Chinese have
understood me correctly? How could I avoid misunderstanding?
