                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         The main learning goals is to increase the awareness on how to capitalize on the diversity of multicultural teams, to seek for empowerment of these teams and to reduce the risks of pitfalls in leading, managing and working in multicultural teams. The workshop is based on a collaborative learning of the participants. The emphasis in this workshop is on the practical level in multicultural team work based on group exercises, individual and group reflections. This practical approach will be backed up by a short theoretical part. All important information will be provided as hand-outs.

Goals

To start the workshop, the participants will go through a group exercise to challenge their existing ideas on multicultural teams and we will discuss the findings of the exercises and how this reflects the reality of the participants. As a next step, we will go through the elements of successful teams and see how multicultural aspects challenges or supports the team processes. Further, we discuss current issues and share success stories around multicultural teams. We conclude then the workshop with a reflection on what we can bring back to our teams and start doing right after the conference.
